Seasonal Farm Stand
What's Growin' On?
This is a peaceful time of the year at the farm. Our summer crops are winding down, and we can finally take a break from the hustle bustle of the summer harvest season.
The days are getting shorter and there is a chill in the morning. A perfect time for us to begin addressing the maintenance items that were de-prioritized during in the hot and busy summer months.
We are changing gears, planting less; finishing up the season with a crop of Green Beans. We will begin picking our greens in late November. We'll have: Rainbow Swiss Chard, Green Swiss Chard, Hydro-ponic Boston Lettuce and our famous Connelly Frisee.
A personal thank-you to each of our Farm Stand patrons. We love connecting you to your local food source. Your gratitude and appreciation for our little farm enriches our lives.
Remember, Connelly Gardens is seasonal, but the Ramona Farmer's Market is not. The Farmer's Market operates EVERY SATURDAY in the K-Mart parking lot on Main Street, Ramona. For more info, go to: http://ramonafarmersmarket.ning.com/

Thank you for
your support!
Many of you have met our little farm-friend, "Lexi". She is the one who meets you at the car and gives you kisses when you visit the farm... wagging all the way.
Well, Lexi is receovering from emergency surgery she had in late September to remove a pellet from her liver. That's right, Lexi was shot by a pellet gun in her own yard. The shooter is at large.
The pellet caused a lot of damage to Lexi's body and to our pocketbook. OUch! The good news is that Lexi is recovering wonderfully and we have our furry friend back.
These are stressful times for many people. Remember to take care of each other. Plan a trip out to the farm, or to the Farmer's Market, for some fresh air and to re-connect.
